Local community members recently came together for this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s Albert Lea/Austin on Sept. 21 at Frank Hall Park. The 161 walkers, donors and sponsors raised more than $40,000 to support the Alzheimer’s Association’s classes and resources for local families, as well as advance dementia research.

Donations of any amount are continuing to be accepted for the Walk until Dec. 31. Gifts can be made at http://act.alz.org/albertlea
