A GoFundMe page started for the family of an Albert Lea man killed Tuesday night in a crash in Windom has raised more than $9,000 as of Thursday morning.
Hunter Tim Allan Schwartz, 28, died from injuries sustained in a crash with another vehicle on Highway 71 in Windom.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the roads were snowy and icy at the time of the crash.
The driver of the other vehicle and her three juvenile passengers were also injured.
A family member who started the GoFundMe page stated Schwartz was on his way home from work at the time of the crash.
“This devastating loss has left Ashley a widow and their two young boys without their father,” the family member wrote. “During this incredibly difficult time, any support you can offer, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this fundraiser, would mean the world to Ashley and her family.”
