An Albert Lea man was injured Thursday evening after his pickup went off the road on Interstate 90 east of Hayward.

Kent James Christensen, 65, was reportedly taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for injuries deemed not life-threatening.

According to the report, Christensen was driving a 2011 Ford F150 westbound on I-90 at milepost 164 when the truck went off the road. The crash took place at 5:49 p.m.

Roads were snowy and icy at the time of the crash.

Christensen was wearing his seat belt, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
