Minutes

The School Board of Independent School District 241 met in a special meeting session on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 5 :00 pm. at Brookside Education Center, 211 W Richway Dr., Albert Lea, MN. School Board members present: Kim Nelson, Gary Schindler, Angie Hoffman, Neal Skaar, Davy Villarreal, Dave Klatt, and Mary Jo Dorman. No Administrator present.
• Swearing in of a new board member and returning board members
• Motion by Schindler/Skaar to approve agenda as presented with the addition of 7.1
Upcoming MSBA conference. Motion carried 7-0
• Motion by Skaar/Hoffman to approve 2025 Board Officers & Committee Reps. Motion carried 7-0
• Motion by Skarr/Hoffman to approve the 2025-2026 School Board Meeting Schedule with one correction to move the January 4, 2026 meeting to January 5, 2026. Motion carried 7-0
• Motion by Schindler/Skaar to approve consideration of the proposal by MSBA. Motion carried 7-0
• Motion by Villarreal/Skaar to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 7-0
