All of Minnesota is under an extreme cold warning until noon Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service, wind chills could dip to as cold as 37 degrees below zero. The agency warns the most dangerous wind chills could come between 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday, when frostbite can occur on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
People are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve. If you must go outdoors, you should dress in layers.
People should cover exposed skin to reduce the risk of frostbite or hypothermia, and keep pets indoors as much as possible.
