Nearly all of southern Minnesota and northern Iowa is in a winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service. Freezing rain and sleet are falling on the region. Rain is freezing on bridges, causing slippery conditions. Motorists are advised to drive with caution.

The Tribune dispatched a reporter and photographer to the junction of Interstate 35 and U.S. Highway 65 because of a report of a wrecked semi. When the Tribune arrived at the scene there was a semi pulled over. Look to Wednesday’s edition for more.
