The CLOVE Volunteer Fair highlighted National Volunteer Week in Freeborn County on April 22 with a celebration of the thousands who contribute many thousands of hours each year to benefit our lives. The value of our volunteers is priceless and yet some estimates set it at $20.85 per hour. This volunteering is a win-win for everyone as it enriches our lives and keeps us all moving forward.

Thanks to the merchants and businesses who honored volunteers by offering discounts and special gifts: Classic Reflections, Herberger’s, Freeborn County Historical Museum, Doyle’s Hallmark, Addie’s Floral and Gifts, Nelson’s, K&K Bakery, Celebrations, Stadheim Jewelers, Fountain Lake Bookstore, Lakeside Café and Creamery, Ben’s Floral and Frame Design, Accents in Alden, Main Street Grill in Alden, Etcetera Tanning/Clothing, Fountain of Memories, South Central Veterinary, Hometown Snacks and Sweets in Alden, Godfather’s Pizza, Hy Vee, Cup of Faith Book Store, Trumble’s and door prizes donors: Alden Shoe and Clothing, KATE/KCPI, Home Depot, Studio 22 Salon, Freeborn County Historical Society, and Conger Catering.
