A hot start

The Albert Lea U-14 softball team is off to a hot start this summer. The team competes in the Southern Minnie Traveling League, which holds doubleheaders every Monday and Wednesday nights, and has a record on 11-0-1. The team has posted wins over Triton, Kasson, Austin, Byron and Rochester, among others. The Tigers’ top hitter is Taylor Thompson, who has a .551 batting average, along with Megan Kortan (.470), Haley Harms (.470), Kassie Hardies (.440) and Hallie Cantu (.368).
