The city of Albert Lea announces the addition of Lee Bjorndal as city attorney.

Bjorndal has worked on criminal prosecution with the city of Austin as well as serving as the city attorney for Spring Valley, Mantorville, LeRoy and Ostrander. Working with these cities has brought him to Freeborn County making him familiar with the judicial system.

“Lee brings to us a great amount of experience in criminal and civil law, as well as familiarity with the legal matters inherent to cities,” said City Manager Victoria Simonsen, “We’re very excited to have him on board.”

Bjorndal resides in Austin with his wife Judith and two sons.

He will begin his duties as city attorney Nov. 6.
