Twin Valley Council Cub Scout families would like to thank the Albert Lea Parks and Recreation Department for the beautifully kept Edgewater Park for all to enjoy. Last week we had more than 100 boys with leaders and adults during our space-themed day camp and “Fun with Son” overnight camp.

In addition to shooting sports — archery, BB guns and slingshots — crafts, games and campfires we also had the pleasure of fishing on the pier. Area volunteers with the Fountain Lake Sportsmen’s Club are a fabulous resource for our community. They donate their time, equipment and even the bait so our youth get the opportunity to enjoy the sport of fishing.

Thank you to everyone that assisted with our scouting events and to the fine young men and their families who attended.
