The Blazing Star Trail will be closed today for the application of a fog seal — weather permitting. This work will include the entire city portion of the trail, beginning at the boat landing near Frank Hall Park, on Front Street along Albert Lea Lake and the figure eight portion of the trail.

A fog seal is a diluted asphalt emulsion used to seal and enrich the existing pavement, seal minor cracks and prevent raveling (loss of aggregate in the existing asphalt pavement).
