Conserving energy is important to future

No more delays in developing a national energy conservation policy. We owe it to future generations. Conserving energy will require innovation and sacrifice.
Here are some suggestions:
1. Immediate reduction of highway speed limits by 5 mph. Then in six to 12 months another 5 mph until we are down to 55 mph.
2. This next idea really hurts: Photocop. Use it for speed control in cities and highways.
3. Improve traffic movement by eliminating stop signs that are only used for traffic control. Photocop helpful here.
4. Develop “smart” stoplights that manage traffic to reduce unnecessary waiting/idling.
5. No truck idling in parking lots etc. May need to develop technology for winter time.
As much as I resent photocop it just is going to help us conserve petroleum. My suggestions are only a small part of a national energy policy. Let’s do it.
