Growing up we all learn how to make decisions. At 16 years old, we start driving. Yet we aren’t allowed to vote for the person who is going to make a change in our lives.

Driving means you have to pay for gas, and the economy is something the president influences. Not being able to have a say in the person in charge of things that affect us is unfair. If we are mature enough to make decisions on the road, I believe we are mature enough to keep updated and informed on the upcoming elections. We are also mature enough to make a decision on how we will be making decisions that affect us.

Lowering the voting age from 18 to 16 would give us a say in this important matter. Changing this would not have a negative effect, only positive.
