The Albert Lea Knights 13AA baseball team won four games in a row to capture the Albert Lea Invitational championship. Albert Lea won their pool beating South St. Paul 12-0 and Lower St. Croix 9-2. The Knights played Mankato in the semifinals and 10-runned them 11-1 earning a spot in the championship against Lakeville North. The title game was exciting with four lead changes, but Albert Lea manufactured one run in the top of the seventh to break the tie and then shut Lakeville down in the bottom of the inning to win the game.
