Get the scoop on Youth for Christ Sunday

Youth For Christ The Rock will host an ice cream sundae social from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Fountain Lake Park gazebo. This is a chance to “get the scoop” about Youth For Christ.
There will be entertainment, featuring Pete and Rachelle Benson and family in concert at 3:35 and again at 4:20 p.m. The YFC Kidz Youth Choir, directed by Mary Wayne, will perform at 4 p.m.
The Benson family from Faribault has its roots in barbershop, bluegrass, Legos and Power Rangers.
Peter (Dad) has been a barbershopper since 1984, has sung in several quartets and is the director of the Great Northern Union Chorus in Minneapolis. He is also the home school teacher for his three boys. Music is a big part of the curriculum.
Rachelle (Mom) has been part of Sweet Adelines and is an accomplished violinist and singer. She is also an accountant, a Mary Kay consultant and the only girl in the house.
David, 10, is the baritone (mostly) and loves to harmonize. Aaron, 7, is the lead. He sings one volume (not soft). So far he still likes Legos better than singing. Luke, 5, is the manager and joke teller and is slowly working his way into the quartet.
In case of rain, the event will be held at The Rock, 116 W. Clark St.
