On Sunday, the United Methodist Church will have a hymn sing during the morning worship service.
The service begins at 9 am. Hymns will include familiar tunes like “Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee,” “Onward Christian Soldiers,” “What a Friend We have in Jesus,” “Rescuing the Perishing,” and many others.
There will be stories about the origins of the hymn, interesting facts about the composer and the author of the text.
Pat Parsons will be the lay leader for the morning. The summer family choir will sing at the service with a rehearsal at 8:15 a.m. prior to the service.
All are welcome to come and sing in the choir. Bill Struck will be providing special music.
Eileen Nelson Ness will be the organist for the hymn sing.
