Tom and Jean Eaton of Granicrete Minnesota were recently certified in Phoenix, Ariz., as Aurastone installers and distributors. David Rairick, president and founder of Aurastone, personally trained the Eatons.

“With the Aurastone product line we can now offer our homeowners and business clients an even wider variety of custom styles and colors for their countertops,” said Jean Eaton. Aurastone mixes the durable, eco-friendly product of Granicrete with actual mica, agates, glass and other stones to give greater beauty and depth to countertops.

This spring, Aurastone and Granicrete International announced a strategic alliance which will bring new products to Granicrete Minnesota’s existing lines of 1/8-inch concrete overlay products. “We will be able to virtually resurface most surfaces in homes to commercial businesses, from countertops to walls to driveways,” said Tom Eaton.

Aurastone brings another product line to Granicrete Minnesota, which is the lime plasters used for decorative wall finishes. The 100 percent lime plaster, imported from Italy, uses crushed limestone and marble to create long lasting and durable plaster walls. This product can be used on interior/exterior walls and columns and comes in 190 colors and numerous finishes.

Other new product offerings include: Pro-protector which adds another layer of protection and hardener to Granicrete countertops and Sure-Rid Anti-Graffiti Coating which can be used by cities, churches, schools and is resistant to all types of spray paint, permanent marker, gum, stickers etc.
