This year at the Camp Moraine Day Camp we are working very hard to not just let campers experience activities, but also to teach them skills that will give them an understanding and love for our community and the many outdoor activities that the Albert Lea area offers. One of the areas in which we take this approach is boating.

Thanks to Scott Hanna we have been able to offer canoeing opportunities to our campers so they can develop a love for this great activity. Recently the Pelican Breeze was kind enough to donate a number of life jackets to the YMCA and Camp Moraine. We are so thankful to the crew of the Pelican Breeze for this donation. With this donation we will be able to instill a love for boating in the next generation, so that boating in the Albert Lea area can be enjoyed by our campers, and someday by their children.
