Albert Lea planning commissioner and local businessman Robert Hoffman was recently certified as a home inspector by the American Home Inspectors Training Institute. Hoffman is also a member of the National Association of Home Inspectors. Robert and his wife, Angie, own Complete Home Inspections Inc., which opens this month.

Complete Home Inspections will specialize in the southern Minnesota and northern Iowa market. Minnesota and Iowa currently do not require a home inspector to be certified, however, the American Home Inspectors Training Institute does the training for all states that do require certification.

Complete Home Inspections Inc. is an Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce member and Robert Hoffman is a Chamber Ambassador.

He is currently attending the Albert Lea Police Department Citizens Academy and the Hoffmans are both in the Fast Track, New Venture entrepreneurial class put on by the Iowa Small Business Development Center, NIACC and the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center through the University of Iowa. They are also graduates of the inaugural 2007-2008 Leadership Class.
