Inga Thompson, 100, of Freeborn

Funeral services for Inga Pauline Thompson, 100, of Freeborn will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at West Freeborn Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dennis Frank will officiate. Interment will be in the West Freeborn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Inga died Friday, May 23, 2008 at the New Richland Care Center.
Inga Pauline Thompson was born on March 23, 1908, in a log cabin on the Erlandson farm near Freeborn, the daughter of Anton and Nettie (Wangen) Erlandson. Inga attended country school. She married Henry Thompson on Feb. 15, 1928. They were married for 54 years and were blessed with one son, Robert. Inga was a member of the West Freeborn Lutheran Church. She served as a Sunday school teacher and superintendent for 32 years. She also belonged to a Home Economics and Birthday Club. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and baking.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Inga was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry; son, Robert; daughters-in-law, Betty (Walker) Thompson, and Sherry (Redman, Hart, Thompson) Zobel; brothers, Nels, Herman, and Ray Erlandson; sisters, Emma and Agnes Erlandson, Mabel Grady, Stella Hanson, and Laura Hugtveit.
