Carine Held, 82, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Carine L. &8220;Dolly&8221; Held will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at
Our Savior&8217;s Lutheran Church. The Revs. Wayne Halvorson and Vicar Boyd Longshore will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church.
She died on Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Thorne Crest Health Care Wing in Albert Lea, after a long courageous battle with Parkinson&8217;s Disease.
Carine was born in Winnebago County, Iowa, on May 28, 1925, the daughter of Peter and Anna (Peterson) Weberg. She was baptized and confirmed at the Lime Creek Synod Church in Emmons. She was a graduate of Albert Lea High School.
On June 21, 1947, she was united in marriage to Harry Held at Our Savior&8217;s Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. She had been employed at The First National Bank, Skinner Chamberlain & Co., Herbergers, Inc. and retired from People&8217;s Savings & Loan in 1987.
Carine was a member of Our Savior&8217;s Lutheran Church where she had been a Sunday School teacher, a member of the Ladies Aid and a member of the choir.
Carine is survived by her husband of 60 years, Harry, of Albert Lea; sister-in-law Gerry Borrelli of Bloomingdale, Ill.; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
Carine was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Anna Weberg, father and mother-in-law; five brothers: Ingvold, Lorentz, Alvin, Adolph, Hartwick; two sisters: Margaret Bailey and Volborg Craddock; two nieces and two nephews.
