1993 — A $1,000 reward fund was set up to obtain information that would help to arrest and convict the person or people responsible for a series of area horse killings.
1983 — Tom T. Hall was one of the entertainers who would be performing at the Freeborn County Fair Grandstand.
1973 — Country-western singer, writer and television star Bill Anderson was a grandstand entertainer at the Freeborn County Fair.
