Memorial services for Dean Michael Schneider, 48, of Albert Lea will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. Vicar Boyd Longshore will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Dean died Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at his home.

Dean Michael Schneider was born on Nov. 14, 1959, to Wilbur and Dorothy (Hanson) Schneider in Albert Lea. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1978 and worked for Fountain Industries for many years. His last position was as maintenance manager before retiring due to health reasons. Dean enjoyed fishing and camping. He also loved old cars, especially his 1963 Chevrolet.

Survivors include his children, Molly and Taran Schneider of Rochester; parents, Wilbur and Dorothy Schneider of Albert Lea; brothers and sisters, Wanda (Gary) Mitsch of Rogers, Ronald Schneider of Craddockville, Va., Dennis Schneider of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Janet (Greg) Ackland of Manchester, and Dawn Farr and special friend Jerry Baas of Albert Lea; and many nieces and nephews.

Dean was preceded in death by his sister, Julie Rae Schneider, and grandparents.
