The American Legion Post 56 invites the public to attend an open house Saturday.

If you are presently a member, a military veteran who has been curious about joining, the spouse of a veteran or even the son or daughter of a veteran, this is a good opportunity to learn what the American Legion is about and how it works to benefit you. People who don&8217;t fit those categories also can learn what a social membership is.

The open house is also a good opportunity for event organizers to learn how to book parties, fundraisers and other events at the American Legion Hall. If you book your event during the open house, the Legion will waive security deposits.

The open house takes place from noon to 4 p.m. People also can call 373-7993 if they have questions.
