LAKE MILLS, Iowa &8212; The Lake Mills girls&8217; golf team faced the strong winds Tuesday afternoon and nearly pulled out a win against West Hancock, losing by just five strokes, 229-234.

Whitney Thompson just missed medalist honors with a 54 but lost by two strokes to West Hancocks Megan Mazzoni who shot a 52.

Scores for the Bulldogs include Cassie Christianson 57, Ashlyn Norris 61, Whitney Thompson 54, Kelli Lair 66, Jordan Durby 62, and Abbey Honsey 62.
