GLENVILLE &8212; Before the season started Glenville-Emmons head baseball coach Louie Toulouse said that his team didn&8217;t play Wolverine baseball last year when they finished just 4-15.

But my what a difference a year makes as the Wolverines find themselves at 3-1 on the year after dispatching Saint Clair 8-2 Thursday in Glenville.

Jon Mittag has been a big part of Glenville-Emmon&8217;s revival this season as the sophomore has won all three games for the Wolverines from the mound.

Mittag went the distance for G-E against St. Clair, going seven innings while allowing just five hits with eight strikeouts. Isaiah Iverson led G-E at the plate with two bunt singles while Logan Hansen, Jake Kirsch, and Brandon Crews had one hit each.

With the win the Wolverines improve to 3-1 on the year. They will be back in action tomorrow when they participate in the Panther Invitational in New Richland.
