Funeral services for Beverly Kranebell of Albert Lea and her son James Kranebell of Wabasha will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Our Savior&8217;s Lutheran Church, 320 W. College, Albert Lea. The Rev. Wayne Halvorson and Vicar Boyd Longshore will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea and one hour before the service at the church. There will be a short time of sharing at 7 p.m Saturday at the funeral home.
Beverly will be in interred at Graceland Cemetery following the service.
Beverly died on Sunday, April 6, 2008, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester following a stroke. She was 81.
She was born on May 3, 1926, in Easton, the daughter of George and Marie (Graf) Beck. She graduated from Wells High School.
Beverly was united in marriage to Orison &8220;Ace&8221; P. Kranebell on May 25, 1946, in Easton.
Bev worked at Wilson & Co. in Albert Lea for many years.
She was a member of Our Savior&8217;s Lutheran Church where she was active in Bible study, ladies&8217; aide and the altar guild.
She was also a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. auxiliaries and the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Marsha Kranebell of Wabasha; grandson Chad Kranebell and his wife Nikki and their children Jackson and Audrey of Rochester; sisters: Avis Kinney, of Winnebago, Nadene Weerts of Minnesota, Patricia Hopp of Davenport, Iowa and Jacklyn (Dale) Lloyd of Winnebago; brother Franklin Beck of Granada; and several nieces and nephews.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband &8220;Ace&8221; in 1996; her son James on Friday, April 4, while vacationing in Florida; sisters; brothers; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Son Jim and his family were special cherished gifts to Bev and her life centered on them. To lose both Bev and Jim a day apart is heartbreaking for those who knew and loved them.
