Iowa Hawks slugger has ties to Albert Lea

A college baseball player with Albert Lea ties played on the 2008 Music City Classic all-star tournament team.
Caleb Curry is a senior on the Iowa Hawkeyes baseball team and one of the best bats on the team. The Hawks posted a 2-1 record in the tournament, which happened in early March. The team has a 7-9 record so far this season.
Curry graduated from Alexandria High School and is the son of Steve and Tami Curry, both Albert Lea High School graduates. Caleb is the grandson of Delores Curry of Albert Lea and grandson of Arliss and Max Bachtle of Albert Lea.
Caleb played for Minnesota State Technical College prior to joining Iowa.
