Members of the Albert Lea/Wells Western Star Lodge #26 A.F. and A.M., a branch of Minnesota Masonic Charities, visited St. Casimir&8217;s School in Wells to present the school with a donation of $1,500 to help sponsor an archery program.

Margo Latusek, physical education instructor, began the fundraising efforts for this program by applying for an &8220;Archery in the Schools&8221; grant and received $1,500; however, matching funds needed be committed from other sources.

In contacting Steve Claybourne on behalf of the Masons, the school found an enthusiastic partner to help make the program a reality.

Through a pancake breakfast and a matching donation from the Minnesota Masonic Charities, the funds were raised to pay for all the equipment and training needed to implement the archery program into the school&8217;s fourth through eighth grade physical education curriculum this spring.

The Masons are an international fraternity whose basic ideals are that all people are the children of one God, that all people are related to each other and that the best way to worship God is to be of service to people.
