Vincent P. Cerrato, 80, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., died July 26, 2011, at his home.

Born in New York, N.Y., Vincent was a resident of Port St. Lucie, Fla., for 15 years, moving from Austin, Minn. During the Korean conflict, Vincent served in the U.S. Marines. Prior to retirement he was a decorator in the furniture business for 30 years in Austin.

He was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of the National Umpires Association, the American Softball Association and was inducted into the Minnesota Softball Hall of Fame in 1996.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Cerrato, of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; two daughters, Carolyn Arnold of Keller, Texas, Connie Jacobs of Grapevine, Texas; two sons, Vincent Cerrato of Fallston, Md., Steven Cerrato of Apple Valley; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Alexander Cerrato of Park Ridge, N.J., Rafael Cerrato of Long Beach, N.Y.; and three sisters, Anna Russo of Nanuet, N.Y., Alice Motto of Nanuet, N.Y. and Adelaide Crisci of Hillsdale, N.J.

A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea. Memorial services will be at a later date in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
