Jimmie Bruce Garcia, 56, of Mason City, Iowa, was ticketed for theft and possession of stolen property at 10:12 a.m. Sunday at State Highway 65 and Freeborn County Road 84, according to police reports. Colette Lynne Perry, 39, of Mason City, Iowa, was ticketed for aiding and abetting theft and possession of stolen property, according to reports.

Garcia and Perry were taken to the Law Enforcement Center and entered into the system, police said.

Garcia and Perry were stopped driving down the road in a car that was overloaded with scrap metal, police said. Through investigation, police found Garcia and Perry stole scrap metal from Albert Lea Trailer and Interstate Motor Trucks, according to police. Garcia and Perry told police they were in Albert Lea last month.

Two arrested for DWI over weekend

David Jon Beckel, 43, was arrested for fourth-degree DWI at 1:16 a.m. Saturday at Freeborn County Road 46 and County Road 117, testing a .17 blood alcohol level, according to police reports.

Tammy Jo Daniels, 46, was arrested for third degree DWI and for an open bottle in a vehicle at 12:56 a.m. Sunday at 107 Park Ave. W. in Hollandale, with a blood alcohol level of .21, according to reports. Daniels was taken to detox, police reports stated.
