Marian Horvei, 86, Wells

Funeral services for Marian Elnor Horvei of Wells, formerly of Albert Lea, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Savior&8217;s Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Wayne Halvorson will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Marian died Friday evening, Feb. 15, 2008, at the Parkview Care Center in Wells where she has been a resident for the past three years.

Marian was born Oct. 10, 1921, in Buffalo Center, Iowa, the daughter of William F. and Christina E. (Abbas) Gustin. She attended public school in Iowa. She was united in marriage to Hershel Wilds, who preceded her in death in 1978. She was then married to Donald Horvei who passed away in 1995.

Marian was a homemaker and very active in the Salvation Army in the Silver Star Fellowship and the Home League. She loved cooking and gardening and spent many hours knitting and crocheting.

Marian is survived by her children: Terry and his wife Rhonda Wilds of Coon Rapids, Gary and his wife Bokoung Wilds of Albert Lea, Roger and his wife Marlene Wilds of Prior Lake and Ronnie Wilds of Dallas, Texas. There are eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. One sister survives: Vera Marie Gustin Clark of Mankato.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Hershel and Donald; son, Eugene Wilds; brothers, Levi, William, Leo and Robert Gustin; and sisters. Florence DeBruyn, Stella Gustin and Mabel (Pearl) Krull.
