Nels C. Fredrickson, 48, of Albert Lea, died unexpectedly at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester on July 27, 2011.

Nels was born in Stanley, Wis., on Feb. 15 1963. He then grew up on Arbutus Lake in Hatfield and Black River Falls until 15. He graduated from Vo. Tech in Eden Prairie. He was employed at Protrucking in Albert Lea, where he worked for about the last nine years. He lived in Crystal for many years before that, working as a designer and welder of large exercise equipment, and also worked at Piazzas Restaurant for many years as a secondary job. Before moving to Crystal, Nels worked and lived in Clarks Grove and Albert Lea and enjoyed raising his young children Sara and Jake. He enjoyed and loved the Freeborn County area.

He is survived by his two children: Sara and Jake Fredrickson, of Annandale; his mother, Georgia Hansen, of Black River Falls, Wis., as well as his two brothers: Jefre Fredrickosn, of Oak Grove, and Kris Fredrickson, of St. Michael. There are many aunts, uncles and cousins. Nels is also survived by his girlfriend of eight years, Gloria Rameriz. Nels truely loved her with all his heart and always will. He is preceded in death by his father, Fredrick C. Fredrickson, from Black River Falls, Wis., and Oregon. Nels was man of many traits and one being his big heart, he will truly will be missed and loved by many.
