Cornelia Miller, 89, Findlay, Ohio

Memorial services celebrating the life of Cornelia A. Miller, age 89, of Birchaven Retirement Village, Findlay, Ohio, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Hollandale Reformed Church, Hollandale. The Rev. Ron Sikkema will officiate.
Interment will be at the Hollandale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home.
Cornelia died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center in Findlay, Ohio.
Cornelia Agnes Miller was born on Feb. 22, 1918, to Arie and Agnes (VanZanten) Verdoorn
in Boyden, Iowa. The family moved to the Hollandale area where Cornelia attended elementary school and was a graduate of Albert Lea High School. She married Edward Miller on June 17, 1937, in Hollandale. Cornelia was a homemaker and an active member of the Hollandale Reformed Church while she lived there. She was presently a member of the Gateway Church in Findlay, Ohio. Cornelia served as the president of the PTA at Hollandale School, was also on the Girl Scouts Tri-County board and a member of the Gideon Auxiliary. Cornelia enjoyed daily crossword puzzles, crypt quotes and the Birchaven Bible Study group.
Cornelia was a very loving and caring person who was always thinking and praying for others. Family and her faith in God have always been a large part of her life.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth (Donna) Miller of Clarkston, Mich., Sharon Kay (Barrie) Lineken of Findlay, Ohio, and Brent (Carolyn) Miller of Plainfield, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Emery (Betty) Verdoorn of Delevan; sister-in-law, Wava Verdoorn of Delavan.
Cornelia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Miller; brothers, Cornelius Verdoorn, William Verdoorn, Marvin Verdoorn, Richard Verdoorn, Henry Verdoorn and Arie Verdoorn.
Memorials are preferred to the Gideon&8217;s and Hollandale Reformed Church.
