Lois Hintz, 66, New Richland

Funeral services for Lois Mary Anne Hintz of New Richland will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in New Richland. The Rev. Paul Andre will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 until 7 at Friedrich Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the St Peter&8217;s Cemetery, New Richland.
Mrs. Hintz died Monday evening at St Marys Hospital in Rochester. She was 66 years of age.
Lois was born April 27, 1941, in Waseca, the daughter of James J. and Margaret M (Discher) Madison. She graduated from New Richland High School and Johnson&8217;s Beauty Academy in Mankato. Lois was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school for 11 years and was active in the church circle and Bible study.
Lois was self employed for 42 years as a beautician and retired in 2005. She also worked as a clerk at the Billings Grocery Store in New Richland. For many years, Lois was also the care coordinator at the Country Neighbors.
Lois loved quilting and was an exceptional cook. Many of her favorite memories were times spent with her sons, siblings and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Dean O. and his wife Heidi Hintz of Warner Robins, Ga., and Derrick J. and his wife Debbie Hintz of Byron. Grandchildren include Mallorie (Matthew) Mosley, Courtney, Taylor, Matthew and Maddeson Hintz. Also surviving is one brother, Donald and his wife Clara Madison of Wabasha and one sister Lorraine and her husband Donald Hueper of Baudette. There are several nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Dale Madison.
