Building reports issued

November was a slow month for new construction activity.
Partial proof of this came with the latest report from the City of Albert Lea Inspection Department. During November, 19 building permits with a
valuation of $372,200 were issued. This increases the total valuation for permits to $23,997,113 for the first 11 months of the year.
At the end of November 2006 the city&8217;s report shows a total $34,616,196 for building permit valuations.
A permit with a valuation of $132,000 was issued in November for the construction of a single family dwelling on Blackmer Avenue. This increases the number of single family and multiple living units to 42 for the year.
The city&8217;s report shows there were permits for 23 new living units issued by the end of November 2006.
The Freeborn County Planning and Zoning Office issued 15 building permits with a listed valuation of $220, 438 during November. This increases the estimated valuation of county-issued permits to $5,946, 045 for the first 11 months of the year.
