Kathryn Amann, 96, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Kathryn Amann of Albert Lea will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Theodore Catholic Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. Jim Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea and one hour before service at the church. Interment will be in the St. Theodore Catholic Cemetery, Albert Lea.

Kathryn died on Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at Good Samaritan Center, Albert Lea. She was 96 years old.

Kathryn was born in Tracy on March 25, 1911, the daughter of Robert Adolph and Othelia (Johnson) Mellang. Kathryn graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1929.

She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church. She was married to Armin Amann on Nov. 2, 1942, in St. Paul.

Kathryn worked at Interstate Power Co., Attorney&8217;s Peterson & Gunderson, King Seeley Thermos Co., Attorney&8217;s Gunderson & Swenson. She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church C.C.W., Guild No. 3, Arc of Freeborn Co., Red Cross, K.C. Auxiliary and T.N.T.&8217;s.

Kathryn is survived by her children: Paul (Bonnie) Amann, Jack (Sharon) Amann, Jean &8220;Trink&8221; (Lee) Van Guilder, Beth &8220;Bebe&8221; (John) Ruud; grandchildren: Paula (Todd) Burkart, Eric Amann, Andi (Paul) Anderson, Paul &8220;Tony&8221; Amann, Amy Van Guilder (Paul Trusten), Krista (Clint) Anderson, Brian Ruud, Adam Ruud; great grandchildren: Brittany, Kadin, Josiah, Mia, Jacob, Alyssa, Logan, Dylan, Hunter and Ella; many nieces and nephews.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Adolph and Othelia Mellang; husband, Armin Amann; and sister and brother-in-law, Georgia and Casey Roscoe.
