Memorial services for Ruby V. Wayne, 92, of Albert Lea, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ascension Lutheran Church. The Rev. Mark Boorsma will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church. To sign the guest book go to:

Ruby died on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at the Albert Lea Medical Center.
Ruby Viola Wayne was born on July 27, 1915, in Oakland Township the daughter of Severt and Emma (Johnson) Dahl. She attended rural schools and shortly after worked as a Nanny for several families. On July 2, 1938, Ruby was united in marriage to Clarence Wayne in Albert Lea. Ruby has lived in Freeborn County all of her life and the past 69 years in the same house. Ruby enjoyed crocheting and did so until her eye sight failed. She loved to cook and bake for her family. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Ruby was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church.
Ruby is survived by her children; Judith and husband Wayne Thorson, Jerry and wife Linda Wayne and Karen and husband Edward Sharpsteen all of Albert Lea. Grandchildren; Lisa Dahl, Lora Sipple, Jeffrey Anderson, Jason Wayne, Stacy Wayne, Emily Osnes and Amy Sharpsteen and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clarence; sisters, Clara, Florence, Myrtle and Sadie; and brother, Stanley.
Memorials preferred to the American Red Cross, Ascension Lutheran Church or the Salvation Army.
