Lake Mills rolls to win, 63-21

GREENE &8212; The Lake Mills football team rebounded from last week&8217;s loss to crush North Butler 63-21 Friday night.

The Bulldogs put the game away early scoring 21 first-quarter points and went up 35-0 before North Butler scored.

Lars Christianson got the Bulldogs&8217; scoring going with a 1-yard plunge early in the first quarter.

Jake Brekken followed with a 7-yard score as he rushed for 145 yards on 12 carries in the game.

Jordan Krull would haul in a 7-yard pass from Brent Bjelland to make the score 21-0.

Christianson and Brekken would both add their second rushing TDs to open the second half with Christianson scoring from two yards out and Brekken from 17.

After North Butler scored on a 75-yard pass, The Bulldogs&8217; Steve Hengesteg caught his only pass of the game and turned it into a 74-yard scoring strike.

Christianson would score once more, Bjelland would get in the act with an 8-yard TD run and Levi Dahle completed the scoring with a 5-yard run for Lake Mills.

The Bulldogs&8217; defense did pick off a pair of passes and recover two fumbles. Spenser Brackey led the team with 16 tackles.

Lake Mills (4-3) is back in action Friday when it hosts Rockford.
