NORTHROP&8212; For the first time all year the Alden-Conger volleyball team fell below the .500 mark at 9-10-1 when they lost 3-1 to Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther 24-26, 20-25, 26-24, and 14-25.
&8220;We hung in there with them and gave them some good games but overall our passing was off and that cost us,&8221; said Knight&8217;s head coach Melissa Wasmoen. &8220;There seemed to be a bit of a let down in the fourth game after taking game three 26-24, it started from the very beginning and we just couldn&8217;t recover in time.&8221;
The Knight&8217;s were led by senior Alyssa Bangert who dropped 10 kills while Megan Miller collected 31 assists.
Despite the loss the Knight&8217;s continue to hold in the middle of the pack in the Valley Conference standings at 4-4 and will be on the road once again Saturday when they travel to Leroy-Ostrander.
