Permit issued for new McDonalds

A building permit with a total valuation of $814,000 was issued in August by the City of Albert Lea Inspection Department for the construction of

a new McDonald&8217;s Restaurant at 609 E. Main St. This new eating establishment will be located just to the west of the present McDonald&8217;s.

Cedar Valley Services, 2205 Myers Road, has been issued a permit with a valuation of $50,000 for what the city&8217;s report states is to &8220;remodel existing restrooms into requirements for accessible restrooms.&8221;

The city&8217;s report shows 62 permits being issued during August with a valuation of $1,381,865. This increases the total valuation for building permits to $18,891,770 for the first eight months of the year.

At the end of August 2006 the report shows a total valuation of $13,849,548 for permits issued by the city.

Also during August a building permit with a valuation of $150,000 was issued for the construction of a new single family dwelling on Ashley Court.

The Freeborn County Planning and Zoning Office issued 13 building permits with an estimated valuation of $488,031 during August. This increases the listed valuation for permits for the first eight months of the year to $4,996,015.

A permit with a valuation of $279,000 was issued to SoyMor during August for the construction of a 60-by-110-foot foundation structure.

County -issued permits were also issued during August for one new home, one garage and two home additions.
