Funeral services for Malinda R. Poplow of Ellendale, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church in Ellendale. Pastor Arne Halbakken will officiate. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery in Ellendale.

Mrs. Poplow died the morning of Sept. 1, 2006 at the Albert Lea Medical Center; she was 97 years of age.

Malinda was born June 9, 1910, in Waseca County the daughter of Erick and Clara (Rieck) Wobschall. She attended country school in Waseca County.

Malinda was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Ellendale where she had been a resident most of her life. Malinda was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking and quilting.

She is survived by her son Gary Poplow of Ellendale; grandchildren Jeff Poplow, Elroy (Shannon) Poplow, Dawn Omvig and Roger Poplow; great-grandchildren Roxanne Saltou, Courtney, Tyler, Chelsea and Colton Poplow; two brothers Wallace (Margie) Wobschall of Austin and Marvin (Joyce) Wobschall of Austin; four sisters Mae (Harold) Hightshoe of Austin, Ellis Reese of Ellendale, Stella Kujath of North Branch and Gladys Weed of Glasgow, Mont. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Malinda was preceded in death by her parents; son- and daughter-in-law Orlin and Joyce Poplow; brothers Selmer (Alice) Wobschall, Ervin (Lil) Wobschall, Noel Wobschall, Wilbert Wobschall and infant brother Gordon Wobschall.
