Speedy kitten gets adopted

Mike and Heather Day of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Friday adopted the white kitten who traveled 80 mph under the hood of their car Aug. 10.

After much local interest in the kitten, the couple decided to take it home to live with their two ferrets and name the kitten Angel Danger Day. They made a special trip to Albert Lea for the kitten.

They picked the kitten up Friday at the Albert Lea Animal Shelter. Because they were the people who originally turned the cat in, the chief of police waived the adoption fee.
