Car stolen, found afterward

A 1996 Pontiac Grand Am was reported stolen from the 300 block of Court Street at about 2 a.m. Saturday, according to police reports. It was found 30 minutes later at an auto repair shop on Front Street. Some change was reported missing.

Cougar spotted

According to Freeborn County Sheriff&8217;s Office reports, a cougar was seen in Maple Island at around 4:30 a.m. Monday.

Vehicle thefts reported

A vehicle on the 600 block of James Avenue was reported broken into at 10:47 a.m. Monday, according to police reports. Reports indicated about 100 homemade CDs and two DVDs were taken from the unlocked car.

Another vehicle parked on the 1200 block of St. John Avenue was also reported broken into at 11:59 a.m. Monday, reports stated. This vehicle was also unlocked and about 40 CDs were removed from the car.

Women cited for theft

Two 18-year-old women were cited for misdemeanor theft at ShopKo at 5:55 p.m. Monday, according to police reports. Reports indicated the women were in the process of taking hair color and intimate apparel.
