Albert Lea girls’ golf head coach Shawn Riebe said Thursday’s meet in Rochester was a bizarre day for scoring, but the Tigers prevailed nonetheless against John Marshall and Winona.

Albert Lea shot 393 to win the triangular while John Marshall shot 405 and Winona 411.

Megan Pulley led the Tigers with a 94 while Taylor Nelson and Morgan Field both shot 96s and Paige Brick added a 107.

“For some reason the course seemed to play tough,” Riebe said. “Nobody scored well.”

With the victories Albert Lea remained undefeated in the conference.
