Police: Man hits tree and then runs

Nicholas Lee Tuttle, 24, of Albert Lea was charged with hit and run, refusing to test for DWI and fourth-degree DWI, according to police reports.

Tuttle hit a tree at 716 Belmont St. and then took of running into a wooded area at 10:30 p.m. Friday.

Tuttle was taken to the Albert Lea Medical Center for minor injuries.

Man allegedly threatens police

Wayne Alan Becker, 28, of Albert Lea was arrested for terroristic threats, according to police reports. He called 911 at 11:54 p.m.

Sunday saying &8220;cops were going to get shot,&8221; and &8220;There was going to be a big fight at the LEC at 2,&8221; the report stated.

Becker claimed to be a police informant.
