LANESBORO &8212; Lanesboro won the battle of undefeated Southeast Conference golf teams as the boys downed Glenville-Emmons 173-190 Friday.

Jarrad Knutson led the Wolverines with a 40. Kyle Belshan carded a 47, Josh Adams had a 51 and Andrew Mittag rounded out the top four with a 52.

&8220;It was a beautiful day for golf, but it was a tough and hilly course,&8221; G-E head coach Craig Rayman said.

The victory put Lanesboro in the driver&8217;s seat of the conference race while G-E saw its conference mark fall to 3-1 on the season.

The Lanesboro girls&8217; team also picked up the win in convincing fashion 202-341.

Sara Hardy led the Wolverines with a 78, Jenny Johnson added an 80, Reina Saltou fired a 94 and Brianna Nelson carded a 98.

The girls are back in action tomorrow when they face Lyle/Pacelli in Austin. The boys will play Lyle/Pacelli Tuesday.
