Robert Arrett, age 65, of Northwood, Iowa died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at his home in rural Northwood. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April l6, 2007 at the Northwood United Methodist Church, 1000 1st Ave. North, Northwood, Iowa with Rev. Wendi Gillan officiating. Burial will take place at the State Line Cemetery, rural Northwood. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Highway 65 South, Northwood, Iowa and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.

Robert Arrett was born on May l, 1941 to Lawrence and Evalyn (Barber) Arrett in Freeborn County. He was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Gordonsville. He attended rural school in Minnesota and Iowa. He was united in marriage to Jean Nelson at Hutchinson on Jan. 5, l963. They farmed their entire married life in rural Northwood, Iowa.

Robert loved the outdoors, farming with his father and grandson, camping with friends and family, taking family vacations, fishing and snowmobiling and the good old days of playing cards at Gertie’s. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and tell stories about his days growing up.

Robert is survived by his wife Jean Arrett and mother Evalyn Arrett of Northwood; two daughters, Teresa Stehn and husband Rod of Northwood, Mary Branstad and husband Brian of Kensett; seven grandchildren, Danielle and Rachel Taylor, Cassidy Stehn, Josh and Michael Walker, AJ and Brody Branstad; two sisters, Karen Hove and husband Chuck, Lois Patterson and

husband Richard both of Northwood, two brothers, Donald Arrett and wife Debbie of Glenville, James Arrett and wife Sharon of Independence, Mo.; and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father Lawrence Arrett, father- and mother- in-law Vernon and Louise Nelson and nephew Todd Hove.
