Taran Waalkens, of Hartland, was named to the dean’s list for achieving a GPA of 3.5 or higher spring semester 2011 at Alexandria Technical & Community College. Waalkens is enrolled in the law enforcement program at the college.

Travis James Armstrong, a 2003 graduate of Albert Lea High School, son of Kathy Armstrong, of Albert Lea, and Jim Armstrong, of Austin, was named to the Dunwoody College of Technology dean’s list. He was in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning program and graduated in June.
