The FLCW officers of First Lutheran Church of Glenville met at the church Aug. 9.

A thank you was extended to members who volunteered to assist residents of the Northwood Retirement Home in playing bingo in July. Those helping were members of the Mary-Martha and Miriam circles. The group will be assisting with bingo at Good Samaritan Society and Loaves and Fishes in November.

The fall festival will be held at First Lutheran Church, Glenville, Saturday, Sept.10, beginning at 8 a.m.

There will be baked goods, garden produce and crafts. Morning coffee will be served from 8 to 11 a.m., as well as a meatball dinner served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Mary J. Nelson is the general chairwoman of this event, assisted by Marcella Nelson and Marian Trytten.
